Conducted by Dr. Terry Melton, an expert recommended by Cooper’s defense, the tests were presented during an appeals hearing in U.S. District Court in San Diego. These results significantly weakened Cooper’s efforts to overturn his conviction for the 1983 Chino Hills murders.
